Method 12

I thoroughly enjoyed this webinar. I am grateful for the experience and understanding I gained.

Prior to taking this course I had only "heard of"
Twitter
Wiki's
RSS
"Working in the cloud"
Podcasts

Now I not only understand WHAT they are but HOW to use them!

Because of this program I will be able to confidently answer patron questions and also be able to show them how to utilize all the wonderful new tools. All the applications are a bit overwhelming but I feel confident now that I will be able to find my way. Not such a babe in the woods anymore.

I look forward to utilizing several of the things I learned here with my teen group. Particularly the wikis!

Should another program of this nature be offered I would not hesitate to sign up for it!

THANK YOU!

Method 11

O....m....g... this is ALOT of information! It is absolutely mindboggling to see how much there is out there for conumption. It's intriguing and overwhelming all at the same time. I wonder where I would find the time to listen to a fraction of what I would like to!

As a library application, it would cool to perhaps podcast some of our basic computer lessons, or podcast about upcoming programs.

method 10

I have always wondered just what and how wikis worked. Pretty cool stuff! I can see how I could use this application with my teen group and getting our events organized and how easy it will make mass communication.

It will be fun to put it into use in a real world situation. I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Don't know why I'd always thought it was so complicated.

Method 9

Well, I must admit I'm not a big fan of chatting.. at least not for library purposes. It's nice to catch someone on Facebook but, that is all personal stuff. Perhaps with a larger library there would be more use. It IS nice to understand what all the teens are going on and on about!

Method 8

My teen group already has a MySpace as well as a Facebook account. We have found it extremely useful to promote our events to other teens in our area as well as to communicate with each other. We are now "friends" with several other libraries and surfing their sites always gleans new programming ideas.

It's also addicting! lol

Method 7

This will be a wonderful tool for all of us. Especially useful for sharing resources and info with co-workers within our library and other area librarians.

Method 6

Wow, what alot of creative stuff you can do with youtube!

Some of the other libraries did some really cute stuff. I bet I could turn my group of teens loose on this and come up with something pretty cool!
